[ makima has what she wants the second the younger woman’s facade cracks. she has made herself in, but need not shatter her entire fortress. not yet, anyway.
slow and steady wins the race, and it’s because of this phase she’s conquered that makima allows jinx’s defenses to relax from the harm done upon them. she backs off, visibly, giving her what she wants: ]
You’re very strong, then. [ without necessarily giving it to her, yes? propping her body upright behind her, she gives a hum through her pop before demanding with eager sweetness to the point that it doesn’t look like an order at all. ] Tell me a story. It seems you’ve got plenty.
( 'you're strong now, jinx is perfect.' she turns her head quickly, pretending to swat away a mosquito. she is not going to show whatever look she's having when his voice churns in her ears with makima here. she's not sure what, but she is certain it's something she will grill on her more about. maybe. or a hint that calling her "strong" seems to do something for her.
idly brushing away her arm and clearing her throat, her eyes are back on makima and treat back in her mouth -- suckling like those words before weren't effective. )
